Detective Sergeant Jim Bergerac solves crimes on the island of Jersey with the help of his father-in-law and local tycoon Charlie Hungerford.

Piper PA-32 Cherokee Six

From episode 1.01. This plane is stolen and is chased by a van down the runway at Jersey airport. This nearly results in a massive aircrash with the airliner below but the airliner takes evasive action.

Piper PA-28 Cherokee

Supposedly the aircraft above after it ran out of fuel and crashed into a forest in Brittany.

Another PA-28: G-BCVV a Piper PA-28-151 Cherokee Warrior (Serial 28-7515121) is seen when Bergerac is speaking to a man at the flying school regarding the crashed Cherokee.

At the start of the episode Bergerac is returning to Jersey on board this airliner. It has a near miss with the above aircraft and an Escort Van racing down the runway.
