Air Lloyd was a regional service company of Germany formed in 1961 from the merger of Deutsche Taxiflug and Deutsche Nah-Luftverkehr. Initially the company was called Air Lloyd Deutsche Nah-Luftverkehrs AG. It operated scheduled flights between various cities in the Rhine-Ruhr area such as Düsseldorf, Luxembourg, Köln/Bonn, Essen, but also Kiel and Hamburg and some scheduled and/or seasonal flights with Heligoland and East Frisian Islands. During the Hanover industrial fair Air Lloyd did also short-haul service between Hanover-Langenhagen Airport and the exhibition center. What's more Air Lloyd had Charter services approach from around 130 West German and numerous foreign airports. In addition, special services such as aircraft maintenance, aerial photography flights, pest control using aircraft. The company ceased operation in 1964.
