Człowiek z marmuru poster.

Movie (1976)
English title: Man of Marble / Man of the Marble

Starring:
Krystyna Janda (Agnieszka)
Jerzy Radziwiłowicz (Mateusz Birkut / Maciej Tomczyk)
Michal Tarkowski (Wincenty Witek)
Tadeusz Łomnicki (Jerzy Burski)

Mid-70's Poland, Agnieszka - young student of film school wants to make a TV documentary about 1950's, stalinist era, propaganda hero - bricklayer Mateusz Birkut. A man, who after "five minutes" of fame disappeared completely in mysterious circumstances. Despite the passage of more than twenty years and some notable politic liberalization in the country, the theme is still very controversial for the communist TV bosses. Ghosts from the unwanted, shameful past are very unwelcome guests in "new, good reality".
What was the real story of Mateusz Birkut's life and whether Agnieszka will be able to finish her film?
