A professor's experiments in thought projection create a race of invisible brain-sucking monsters which prey on the citizens of the town of Winthrop in Manitoba, Canada, causing an already tense relationship between the town and the neighboring US Air Force base to become worse, where the Air Force is conducting long-range atomic-powered radar experiments.

Flies over both a funeral and the Adams farm, thoroughly annoying the townsfolk.
