Film recreation of the story of the passengers of Uruguayan Air Force Flight 571. On October 13th 1972, the plane carrying 45 passengers crashed in the Andes killing some of the passengers. Facing starvation, the survivors resorted to cannibalism eating the dead passengers killed in the crash. Eventually after two months the 16 remaining passengers were rescued.
