Shaanxi KJ-500 ?

BtoF 02735.jpg

Is number "3" a Shaanxi KJ-500 ?
Based on the military transport aircraft Shaanxi Y-9, the Shaanxi KJ-500 has four WoJiang WJ-6C turboprop engines driving 6-bladed propellers.
Here we see only four-bladed propellers but the cockpit has the design of the Shaanxi Y-9 and no more the distinctive former Shaanxi Y-8's cockpit.
Maybe an early prototype because the design being frozen only in 2018. mémo : 1 : Xian JH-7A ;

I'd guess that it's T0158, a prototype Shaanxi Y-8 AWACS variant. The prop colors, nose paint, and pattern on the radome seem to match. Corkeyandpals (talk) 19:58, 1 November 2023 (UTC)
