Henri Mignet HM 293M Pou du Ciel

Henri Mignet was famous before the second World War as designer of the Mignet HM.14 Pou-du-Ciel (Louse of the Sky, but usually named Flying Flea). After the war, he designed several variants, most with this tandem wings configuration. Some search on the web return several enclosed cockpit formula but one airframe shot in 1965 has the same colors (grey with dayglow panels) and was still so visible in 1986. So this airframe with the folded wings could be registered as F-PGYA (but there is at least four other HM 293 registered for which I'm unable to find pictures).

Agreeing with you about DC-8 of Air Canada, but rather a 43 series I think. Also with Convair 440 of Swissair.Sixcyl 14:03, 24 October 2013 (MDT)
