Still have a ton of screenshots left to add from the opening sequence showing experimental aircraft. Kooshmeister 13:23, 28 June 2012 (MDT)

  • Only a few left to add. Man, there are a ton of vintage experimental aircraft in this movie's prologue! Kooshmeister 04:52, 16 July 2012 (MDT)

unidentified aircraft

First one seems to be Supermarine Swift;
Second one is a F-86D;
Third is a Boeing 707, probably the -300 (the most numerous in Pan American fleet); or one of their nine B720 (the shorter variant).

subject 11 : probably a reconstruction of history. In the very begining of the 20th century, french pionniers Fabre, captain Ferber and Robert Esnault-Pelterie used cars to tests parts of their planes (for example : propellers). If IMCDB is right ( [[1]] ), I'm very doutfull that in the mid 20's such way of testing was still in use !
