The cargo door is missing and replaced just by a (thin) skin of metal. Perhaps two old scrapped airframes joined by some duralumin sheet. No engine, fake (?) propeller, strained nose ... This aircraft will never fly again !

Stencils with s/n 44-63916 (look -bottom- at the Spitfire picture). It was really a P-51D of 72nd FS, 21st FG, USAAF lost in a landing accident at South Field, Iwo Jima on August 30, 1945. The radio command model is painted with the right colors of this fighter group.
