Dear Friends:

As many of you have noticed, The Internet Movie Plan Database (impdb.org) has recently had a hard time keeping up with the growing demands of our users. In 2009 when a couple of us got together to begin putting the website together, space was never an issue. In fact, it has steadily grown with virtually no problems throughout the years.

In about the middle of 2016 we began to run into server space issues. We have since made upgrades (moving to a VPS, buying more space, etc), but the site continues to outgrow the upgrades. The meager ad revenue generated by the site isn't sufficient to cover the annual cost of running the server. We who manage the site have never made money from it, it has only ever earned enough money to cover actual server costs.

In an effort to continue serving the needs of aviation enthusiasts around the world, we are asking for donations to keep this site up and running consistently like it did when it was a smaller, newer site. If you've enjoyed this website and would like to see it continue being the site you go to for your aviation screenshot needs, please consider donating.

Oh yeah, new users and edits are now active (hopefully for good) while we're testing new and improved spam/bot protections :)

Ep.12.14 New Kids on the Blecch
L.T. Smash founds the new boyband "Party Posse" with Bart, Milhouse, Ralph and Nelson. In one of their videos, the four kids are flying these Lockheed Martin F-16 Fighting Falcon wearing the Blue Angels (!) paint scheme.

This helicopter is owned by Artie Ziff, a rich industrialist. He had fallen in love with Marge during their high school years, but she later married Homer.

CGI Airliners

Ep.13.15 Blame It on Lisa
The Simpsons uses this indeterminate aircraft of airline AeroBrasil to fly from Springfield to Rio de Janeiro. However it looks a little small to fly to Brazil from anywhere in the US.

The real Aerobrasil was officially called Aerobrasil Cargo and was the cargo subsidiary of TransBrasil.

Ep.14.07 Special Edna
Milhous' uncle decides to take a ride with him and Bart in his Black Hawk helicopter.

CGI Airliner

Ep.14.07 Special Edna
The Simpsons and Edna Krabappel uses this aircraft to fly from Springfield to Orlando. The aircraft looks like a De Havilland Comet, however these planes did not fly in 2003 anymore.

Boeing 747-200

Ep.15.18 Catch 'Em If You Can
Marge and Homer are flying to Miami to their second honeymoon, but soon were chased by Bart and Lisa. They also used a 747–200 to fly from Miami to Atlantic City and Niagara Falls.

At the age of ten Homer visits a holiday camp and decides to have a picnic on a runway.

Plywood Pelican Hughes H-4 Hercules (inspired of)

Ep.16.06 Midnight Rx
The Plywood Pelican was a large aircraft build by C. Montgomery Burns. It was completely build out of plywood. Homer, Grampa and Burns uses the plane to smuggle drugs from Canada into the US. The aircraft comes closes to the Hughes H-4 "Hercules".

Vought F4U Corsair & North American P-51 Mustang

Ep.16.06 Midnight Rx
Seen at the Springfield Air & Space Museum. The aircraft to the left appears to represent a Vought F4U Corsair with the aircraft to the right representing a North American P – 51 "Mustang". The aircraft above could be the Wright Flyer I.

Seen at the Springfield Air & Space Museum. The B-29 is named "Enola Gay". This was the aircraft that drops the atomic bomb onto the city of Hiroshima. Same aircraft in other movies at IMPDb: Frequently Seen Aircraft.

Ryan NYP Spirit of Saint-Louis

Ep.16.06 Midnight Rx
This aircraft can be seen at the Springfield Air & Space Museum. Named "Spirit of Shelbyville", it is presumably a 'Simpsonised' version of the Spirit of St. Louis (Officially a Ryan NYP).

Mr. Burns and Homer uses the private jet of Mr. Burns to fly from Springfield to Chicago. After that flight, Homer cancels his job in the nuklear power plant to find a new job where he is able to use his own private jet.

Krusty is told he had won the nobel peace prize. Together with Homer and Bart, he takes the "Peace Prize One" to get to Oslo. In reality, the aircraft is used by the World Court. So Krusty is carried to The Hague, where he is defendant for his bad behaviour in public.
