Dear Friends:

As many of you have noticed, The Internet Movie Plan Database (impdb.org) has recently had a hard time keeping up with the growing demands of our users. In 2009 when a couple of us got together to begin putting the website together, space was never an issue. In fact, it has steadily grown with virtually no problems throughout the years.

In about the middle of 2016 we began to run into server space issues. We have since made upgrades (moving to a VPS, buying more space, etc), but the site continues to outgrow the upgrades. The meager ad revenue generated by the site isn't sufficient to cover the annual cost of running the server. We who manage the site have never made money from it, it has only ever earned enough money to cover actual server costs.

In an effort to continue serving the needs of aviation enthusiasts around the world, we are asking for donations to keep this site up and running consistently like it did when it was a smaller, newer site. If you've enjoyed this website and would like to see it continue being the site you go to for your aviation screenshot needs, please consider donating.

Oh yeah, new users and edits are now active (hopefully for good) while we're testing new and improved spam/bot protections :)
Thank you,
IMPDb Staff

Welcome to the IMPDb

Thanks for joining The Internet Movie Plane Database G-MANN!

I was wondering when you were going to sign up. I know you were wanting a plane database for some time. I hope this will work for you.

I see you have already been able to contribute to the site. Thank you, it looks great! I am know that the viewing community, including myself and the other users are appreciative of anything you can do to help. Since the site is so young, we are a long ways away from where we want to be.

Be sure to take a look at each new pages discussion area to add or view any comments related to that film if nesessary. Also, the new forum is a great place to discuss things. There is a new users page which you can use to make the site easier to use as well.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email us at support@impdb.org.

Publishing Contributions

Hi, can you add your films to the Movie List so everyone can see them, thanks. Bthebest 18:28, 24 May 2010 (UTC)

Nice

Wow, you've knocked out a bunch of films! Nice job! Tleeg 05:06, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

Bond Titles

Ok we've decided to fix the the James Bond film title format once and for all. You should now:

  • Name the actual page just the name of the individual film eg. GoldenEye.
  • List the film as James Bond: XXXX on the Complete Lisy. eg. James Bond: GoldenEye

If pages you have created already follow this format then great, just keep it up. If they don't could you please rectify this by recreating the page. Bthebest 12:45, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

GoldenEye/TND

Hi, thanks for all your contributions however you may have noticed the new guidelines section on the New users page. Here the formats for pictures is clearly stated and I was hoping when you have the time you'd be able to edit all you contributions, such as GoldenEye and Tomorrow Never Dies to bring them in line. This particularly relates to the use of galleries an number of pictures. Any problems post on my discussion wall, PM me on the forum or start a discussion.

Thanks, Bthebest 10:15, 8 June 2010 (UTC)
