Welcome

Hi, your work on Casino Royale looks great and I look forward to seeing more!

I would suggest taking a look at the New users page to help with the formatting and look at some other completed pages to help with yours.

Welcome to the IMPDb

Thanks for joining The Internet Movie Plane Database Robi!

I see you have already been able to contribute to the site. Thank you, it looks great! I know the viewing community, including myself and the other users are appreciative of anything you can do to help. Since the site is so young, we are a long ways away from where we want to be.

Be sure to check out the forum which provides a great place to discuss things.

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to email us at support@impdb.org.

Technical points

Hi, loving all your work on the James Bond movies, however there are a few technical points to highlight. In order to make the website the best and most professional we can, we're trying to make the formatting of all the pages uniform to the highest standard possible. We will soon be publishing some guidelines but in the meantime I again suggest looking at the New users page and in particular the Page Template. Using this template will ensure standards are met across the site.

One key point is the title of the pages. Please ensure that capitals are used as necessary eg. From russia with love = From Russia with Love. This can only be changed by creating a new page and transferring all the HTML across. You can then delete the old page after.

Sorry to be pedantic but this is important to keep the site's standards.

Any questions just post on my discussion page or use the forum.

Bond Titles

Ok we've decided to fix the the James Bond film title format once and for all. You should now:

  • Name the actual page just the name of the individual film eg. GoldenEye.
  • List the film as James Bond: XXXX on the Complete Lisy. eg. James Bond: GoldenEye

If pages you have created already follow this format then great, just keep it up. If they don't could you please rectify this by recreating the page.

Can I also highlight the new Guidelines page. Bthebest 12:46, 4 June 2010 (UTC)

James Bond pages

To help you understand what we would like pages to look like i have redone Thunderball as a model page, see Thunderball. This has all the correct formatting and page naming. If you could edit your other pages like this when you get a chance that would be great. If you want to recreate my Thunderball to give you the credit - i just moved a few bits around - feel free. User page

Hi Robi,
I am wondering if you would be willing to create a user page for yourself. In part, to make sure that you get credit and recognition for your contributions, especially as we are working with the different page titles. If someone needs to copy a page's information and create a new page with a slightly different title (even simple case sensitive issues), it will look like the person changing the title did all the work. All you have to do is click on the "user page" tab at the top of this page. Then create the page. You can use Tims' page or my page as an example which you can simply copy and paste parts if you would like.
Thanks again for all your hard work! Tleeg 08:45, 22 June 2010 (UTC)

Hope you don't mind. I went ahead and created a user page for you similar to some of the other users to keep track of the films you have contributed to the site. We have given you credit on the discussion pages of each movie page we have redone due to minor title changes. Really the only changes we have done to the pages are just added a bit to keep the same format as all the other pages. Like I have said before, the quality of your screenshots are great and I hope to see you back one day. Thanks again. Tleeg 09:32, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
