Short Movie (1960)
Starring:
Ben Wright (Narrator)
Gunther V.Fritsch (Photography)
Hans Gfeller (The father)
Walter Schuler (The son)
Hudson B.Shotwell (The westerner)
This Swissair film (See discussion tab) follows a Swiss father and son as they travel to the United States and tour the country from New York City to San Francisco via Texas. The film features a handful of good shots of New York, Indiana, Texas, New Mexico, Nevada, and California as the son —Peter— drives a Mercedes-Benz 300SL convertible across the country.
Douglas DC-8-32
The airliner has not yet been christened. So it might be HB-IDA, HB-IDB or HB-IDC, the 3 first DC-8 operated by Swissair in 1960, soon converted in DC-8-33.
Bell 47H-1
For a flight above Washington. Unknown company.
Carousel Airplane
Inspired by US fighters of the time.
Cessna 180
Registration is ending by 78C (port underwing) : maybe N1578C as this Cessna 180 was co-owned and based in Progreso, Texas.
In the background maybe an Aeronca 15AC Sedan or Cessna 170 ?
