This article is about the film Air Force One. For the USAF aircraft see Boeing VC-25.

Air Force One DVD cover.

Movie (1997)

Starring:
Harrison Ford (President James Marshall)
Gary Oldman (Ivan Korshunov)
Glenn Close (Vice President Kathryn Bennett)
Wendy Crewson (Grace Marshall)
Lisel Matthews (Alice Marshall)
Paul Guilfoyle (Chief of Staff Lloyd Shepherd)

When the President's plane is hijacked over Europe there is little Washington can do to help. They must rely on the people on the plane to fight back as well as being careful of who to trust.

Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk

The backbone of the US Army helicopter force is seen picking up the troops at the beginning and transporting the VP to The White House.

Black Hawk extracting troops in Kazakhstan.
Dropping off VP Bennett (Close).

Boeing 747-146 (portraying VC-25A 'Air Force One')

The VC-25A is seen throughout the movie with the main action scenes being based around it. This is obviously not one of the actual ones but a very good representation.
Registration N703CK, c/n 19727/54 built in 1970. Rented from American International Airways, precursor to Kalitta Air. Previously flew for Japan Air Lines as JA8103.

Parked at Moscow waiting for the President. Notice the lack of a bulge on the nose just below the cockpit where the real aircraft would have a mid-air refueling point.

Lockheed C-5 Galaxy

Seen in the background at Moscow Airport supporting the President's visit.

Ivan (Oldman) and co. walk in front of a C-5 on approach to Air Force One.

McDonnell Douglas F-15C Eagle

These fighters are scrambled from Ramstein, Germany to escort Air Force One after the 'Code Red' is declared.

Despite being supposedly scrambled from Ramstein, these F-15s have 'EG' tail codes, of Eglin AFB, Florida.

Boeing KC-135R Stratotanker

Based on the prototype Boeing 367-80, prototype to the Boeing 707, these tankers can be seen on the ramp at Ramstein during the aborted landing.

Lined up and ready to go.

Lockheed C-141B Starlifter

This aircraft narrowly avoids a collision with Air Force One at Ramstein.

This Starlifter meets a close encounter with Air Force One.

Bell UH-1 Iroquois

UH-1D Sent from Ramstein to rescue the President from the escape pod. Although it is not impossible for a UH-1D to have been used in this capacity, at the time of filming a UH-1H or UH-1N would be more likely used by USAF rescue teams.

McDonnell Douglas KC-10 Extender

'Extender 1-0' is sent to refuel Air Force One in mid air.

Mil Mi-24P "Hind-F"

Mikoyan MiG-29

These fighters are sent to intercept Air Force One after the terrorists are overthrown by the Air Force One passengers. They engage with Air Force One and the F-15s severley damaging the VC-25A.

Lockheed MC-130 Hercules

This special mission variant Hercules is sent to carry out a mid-air rescue from the crippled Air Force One.
