Boeing Fortress Mk.I AN518 here with code of 90 Squadron, RAF. Built as Flying Fortress C s/n 40‑2043. Some source gives her as transferred to 220 Squadron and shoot down on 08 September 1941 over Norway. Other source gives her as returned to the US (Lend-Leased).
So what ?
Was WP-B when seen in American film "Flying Fortress" (1942), a movie considered as "a poor tracing of Target for Tonight" (The New York Times).
Nota : Target for To-Night (alternative title) is a 1941 48 minutes long British World War II documentary film about the crew of a Wellington bomber.

Douglas C-54B Skymaster

Registration EW999, c/n 18326/D0100. First registered as 43-17126 in Santa Monica Douglas factory. This Skymaster was the 100th built and the first delivered to RAF as a gift from F.D.Roosevelt for special VVIP aircraft of W.Churchill. The interior layout of the aircraft have been done by Armstrong-Whitworth in Coventry. By early November 1944, the completed Skymaster had been delivered in natural metal finish to RAF Northolt, home of No.24 Squadron and its VVIP flight.
