Volmer VJ-22 seen in Islands in the Stream.

The Volmer VJ-22 Sportsman is a homebuilt two-seat amphibious aircraft designed in 1957 by Volmer Jensen. The wings from an Aeronca Champion or Chief are fitted to a new flying boat hull in a two side-by-side layout. The engine mounted on pylons is usually a fat-four engine driving a pusher (sometimes a tractor) propeller but -as for many homebuilt design- some manufacturers have applied limited variations to the original bundle. This page lists all films that feature a variation of the Volmer VJ-22 Sportsman.
