Bellanca J-3-500 seen in A Decade to Remember: The 1930's.


Few is known about this single engine, high wing monoplane of the thirties with a similar profile of the CH series. A Special Long Distance variant, the Bellanca J-3-500, was built in limited numbers, the most famous being "Santa Lucia" in which General Francesco De Pinedo died at take off during his trial for a non stop flight from New York City to Bagdad.
