Dornier Flugzeugwerke was a German aircraft manufacturer founded in Friedrichshafen in 1914 by Claudius Dornier. Over the course of its long lifespan, the company produced many notable designs for both the civil and military markets. After the WW2, the company was located in Spain then in Switzerland before acting again as a manufacturer in Germany from 1954. Bought in 1996 by Fairchild, its name eventually disappear in 2002.
