The company headquarter was moved from Baden-Baden to Frankfurt at this time. Germanair ordered new airplanes such as BAC 111-500 to complete a fleet of old Douglas DC-6. In autumn, 1970, Germania was bought by the Munich entrepreneur Josef Schörghuber who also possessed a minority participation in theBavaria airline since 1968.
