Savoia Marchetti SM.84 seen in Alfa Tau!.
The Savoia-Marchetti SM.84 was an improved development of the Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero, using the same wing as its predecessor, but with a new fuselage and more powerful engines. Hampered by its low handling qualities, which proved a major default in the torpedo assault, the Savoia-Marchetti SM.84 eventually never replaced its predecessor but was used until 1945 as transport.
Less 250 airframes of Savoia Marchetti SM.84 and derivatives were built.
