Lost in a snow storm, wings full of ice and with fuel tanks nearly empty, Captain Dooley made an emergency landing somewhere in the Canadian North outback. The script was based on a true story about a C-87 flight lost on 3 February 1943 and the rescue DC-3 which made a safe landing but failed to takeoff from the thick snow.
