Due to an accident, a seaplane operated by a small airline company ditches off an island in the Pacific and the surviving passengers must find a way to be rescued.

Registration N5593V, c/n 1759. This aircraft was famously abandoned in Saudi Arabia the year after this movie released, after it was fired upon by Bedouins. The wreckage remains extant as of 2019.
