de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver

Reg. VH-AWD de Havilland Canada DHC-2 Beaver c/n 1066 built in 1957 and first registered VH-AAJ until 1997 when it crashed.
Rebuilt as a seaplane and second maiden flight in 1999 now as VH-AWD (Note that before 1982, a Piper PA-28 Cherokee wore this registration).
In 2017, a float hurt the coral reef and the seaplane subsequently sank and was substantially damaged.

Plane and boat and pier are real; the building is CGI.

Overflying the Whitsunday Islands, off the central coast of Queensland, Australia.
