Fictional Troop Carrier

In 1932 in Germany, at D.E.L.A. exhibition, a 1:1 scale mock (?) (named by FLIGHT magazine "Week-end Amphibian") could be seen with the fictionous registration D-10000. This flying boat had a inverted gull wing with a twin hull. Tailless, the vertical surfaces were on wingtips. This exhibit could inspired the cargo seen in the movie with the big difference that instead two engines on a mast, the fictional movie set has two hulls joined with a central wing supporting several powerplants on the leading edge.
