Jack Hall is a climatologist who believes something extroardinary is going to happen sooner rather than later. After the politicians refuse to believe what is happening the unthinkable changes their mind. With the entire northern hemisphere under threat the governments have to act fast to minimise the effects. Jack meanwhile has a personal mission to keep a promise to his son.

Eurocopter AS350 A-Star

A popular choice in the U.S. as news choppers this one here is taking footage of the tornados in Los Angeles.

Various FedEx aircraft can be seen on the cargo ramp at LAX including: A300F, DC-10F and Boeing 727F.

Boeing 707-300

This footage is from the real crash of Avianca Flight 052 which crashed just outside of New York in 1990 due to fuel exhaustion. Incredibly 85 out of the 158 on board survived the real crash.

Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk

Seen on multiple occasions in the transport role, including SAR at the end, all aircraft appear to be U.S. Army Black Hawk versions.

As well as Black Hawks there are Boeing CH-47 Chinooks and AH-64 Apache helicopters in the background, although not visible in this screenshot.

Boeing CH-47 Chinook

These helicopters are clearly seen taking part in the Search and Rescue mission at the end.
