A scene displays a taxiing B-52 with four underwing Douglas AGM-48A Skybolt air-launched ballistic missiles. In fact, these weapons were only on development at that time, not in operational use.

Probably CGI planes. Only view in their six o'clock, so the specific reconnaissance nose is not visible.

Lockheed U-2F

The highest point of the crisis : the flight done by Major Rudolf Anderson on 27th October.

The Lockheed U-2 is intercepted by a SAM Lavochkin S-75 Dvina (NATO code name : SA-2 Guideline).

S-125 Neva (NATO designation SA-3 Goa)

One of the biggest error of the movie : this SAM missile is shown fired from its modified truck carrier instead the unwheeled launcher.
