Air Algérie is the national airline of Algeria, with its head office in Algiers and flights operating from Aéroport d’Alger Houari Boumedienne . The company is owned majority by the government of Algeria since the independence in 1962. It’s story officially began during the French colonization when CGTA- Compagnie Générale de Transports Aériens and CAT- Compagnie Air Transport merged on 23 May 1953 to form the CGTA-Air Algérie.
