Air Bridge Carriers was formed in 1972 with four Armstrong Whitworth A.W.650 Argosy freighters bought from defunct airline Sagittair to fly fresh produce from the Channel Islands to the UK. This work was quickly supplemented by ad-hoc charter work, with special emphasis on 'awkward loads' such as aircraft engines and heavy machinery for the North Sea oil fields.

The company used several Vickers Merchantman, Lockheed L-188 Electra and a Vickers Viscount for passengers charter.

From April 1983, some of the Vickers Merchantman would be transferred to Elan Air, a sister ailine of Air Bridge Carriers, and the Electra was leased to the French STAF.

By 1992, a reorganization of the company came about and it was eventually relaunched in September as Hunting Cargo Airlines until 1998.

This page lists all films, TV series, that feature aircraft of Air Bridge Carriers.
