Season One

Fictional Supersonic Airliner

Close to Concorde but designed by Germany, we could talk for hours about the source of inspiration, the similarities and differences between this nice Made for Movie and Concorde ... starting with the cockpit windows which are unrealistic, to say the least, on a supersonic plane!

Season ?

Alternate Kamov Ka-27

Seen at the beginning of the 4th season during the summary of the previous seasons.
In dystopian alternate inuverse, a helicopter of the Navy of Empire of Japan.
Basic shape is the Kamov Ka-27 mixed with some Ka-25 and/or Ka-32 features. Of the usual two large boxes on the starboard side of the cabin, the lower one is missing as like the twin gyromagnetic compass unit under the boom. The rear split cabin door is here a sliding one (as there was on the Ka-25). It's not the civil Ka-32 not only by its Hinomaru (Japanese roundel) but too by the radar's active phased array antenna under the fuselage and the front undernose radar.

The maiden flight occured on February 1967 and the Do 31 performed its final public flight on 4 May 1970. (*) We are in the alternate universe ... In our world (the real REAL one, not the P. K. Dick's one!), D-9129 is for a Schleicher ASG 29 sailplane c/n 29061 which crashed on short landing (without injuring its pilot) on Wednesday 21 August 2013 in Italia.
