The anti-Godzilla unit G-Grasper attempts to get rid of Godzilla once and for all using the Dimension Tide, a weapon which opens artificial black holes. However, when they test the weapon, they accidentally unleash a swarm of extra-dimensional insects called Meganurons, one of which grows into the giant dragonfly Megaguiras.
