Tsuki to Laika to Nosferatu Poster.

Animation Series (2021)
Japanese title: 月とライカと吸血姫
English title: Irina: The Vampire Cosmonaut

Starring:
Megumi Hayashibara (Irina Luminesk)
Kōki Uchiyama (Lev Leps)
Hina Kino (Anya Simonyan)

In an alternate 1960s, the Zirnitra Union space program recruits a vampire to serve as an astronaut and go into space.

Note: This is an animated film. The aircraft shown in it are therefore not actual aircraft, however, where a reasonable depiction of an actual aircraft has been created, it has been identified as best as possible.

Unnamed Zirnitran rocket (Sputnik 8K71PS)

Deployed by the Zirnitra Union (standing in for the real life USSR) for launching the Parsnuy 2, which carried Maly, the first space dog. Maly is a fictional stand-in for Laika, meaning this rocket is based on the Soviet Sputnik-PS or 8K71PS used in the Sputnik 2 mission.

Unnamed Zirnitrian satelite (Sputnik 1)

Name is not specifically mentioned in the series (possibly Parsnuy 1?), but is standing in for the real life Sputnik 1 as the first artificial satelite.

Parsnuy 2 (Sputnik 2)

Just as the real life Sputnik 2 did, Parsnuy 2 launched the first dog in to space.

In-universe TV news showing Maly

Zirnitrian lunar impactor (Luna 2)

Based off of the Soviet Luna 2 design.

Antonov An-10

Distinguished from the much more common An-12 by the ventral fins under the rear fuselage.

Unnamed Arnackian rocket (Vanguard)

Although unnamed in the show, given that this was an Arnackian rocket that blew up 2 seconds after launch, it is most likely based off of the real-life American Vanguard TV-3, which exploded at Cape Canaveral during liftoff on December 1957.

Ep1 vanguard.jpg

Generic fighter jet

Probably based on the MiG-21 but far too distant and low-detail to say definitively.
