Registration ZS-CRV, c/n 13331. Originally built for the USAAF with serial 42-93421, immediately transferred to the Royal Air Force as KG600. Later to the Royal Canadian Air Force with the same serial, which was eventually changed to A.601B. Retired from military service in 1958. In civilian service, would carry registrations N96U, CU-P-702, N702S, G-ASDX, G-AJRY, ZS-PTG, A2-ACG, and finally ZS-CRV.
Fictional "Giant Airlines" titles applied.

Douglas DC-4 (CGI)

Portraying DC-6B registration SE-BDY, c/n 43559/251 of TSA-Transair Sweden which Dag Hammarskjöld was killed in when it crashed on 18 September 1961. However, the round windows give this model away as a DC-4 rather than a DC-6.

McDonnell Douglas F-4 Phantom II

The film portrays Dag Hammarskjöld's plane as being shot down by an F-4 Phantom II. In reality, the cause of the crash is disputed, however the use of an F-4 here is particularly questionable as the only operator of the type at the time was the United States.
