An unofficial French team, directed by M.Bernard Decré, is focusing on theories that the aircraft crashed off when trying a splashdown near French island Saint-Pierre & Miquelon on 1927 May 9th Recherche de l'Oiseau Blanc.

Designed for long distance travel by Italian engineer Filippo Zappata, built by Bleriot in 1930. It broke several time close-circuit record of distance and straight line distance between New-York to Rayak,Syria in 1933 (9104 km).
Registration F-ALCC, c/n 4447.1. The plane was christened Joseph Le Brix in 1932, in honour of the French aviator who had perished in USSR in a an attempt of straight flight from Paris to Tokyo.

Unidentified aircraft behind. The woman is Maryse Hilsz, a famous aviator, who performed several records in the 30's such as distance and speed record on Paris-Tokyo-Paris in 1934.

Aéroport de Paris-Le Bourget, designed by architect Georges Labro, following a tender procedure launched in 1935 by the French Ministry of Aviation.
The new building under construction, probably around 1936/37, is seen behind this DH86. Difficult to tell from which company, this one belongs to.
Seems to be another one, far in the sunspot of late afternoon.
